What we do
Resorts of Ontario’s mission is to serve, represent and further the collective interests by providing marketing, membership and advocacy services for the resorts, lodges and inns of Ontario’s tourism industry.
Resorts of Ontario publishes an annual magazine “Go Resorting” filled with stories on resorting experiences ranging from fun-filled family diversions to culinary and wine selections, the great outdoors and more.
Our website is the ideal resource for sourcing leisure escapes, getaways, family reunions and for the business minded, executive retreats and corporate meetings.
Resort members benefit from strategic marketing programs and many co-operative buying ventures that reduce costs on volume purchases and provide an excellent dollar return on investments. Our marketing is directed to the leisure, corporate and travel trade markets.
We take our members into the domestic and international marketplace and have gained an enviable track record in creating new business as well as developing an image of the Ontario resort vacationing experience – to "Go Resorting".
On behalf of, and with the participatory support of members we make the best possible purchases directed to the consumer, meeting planner and travel trade.

The Federation of Ontario Bed & Breakfast Accommodation (FOBBA) was formed in 1987 as the professional association representing the Bed & Breakfast Industry in Ontario. Members agree to adhere to a high set of consistent standards defining cleanliness, comfort, quality, safety and hospitality. Membership is voluntary, so guests should look for the FOBBA key logo on B&B websites and entrances as their assurance of quality.
FOBBA inspects and approves all members. In addition, in order to help visitors choose the accommodations that best suit their needs, the Association has adopted a 5 star rating system by which inspected B&B's can represent features that are beyond the basic level accepted. All FOBBA inspected B&B's attain the basic level, from there various additional facilities and features affect the 5 star rating, based on what is important to most B&B visitors. FOBBA members live by our motto - "Hospitality lives here!"
As an industry association, FOBBA also supports its members through an annual conference and educational materials/ sessions. The Association also advocates for its members interests with local municipalities and the provincial government.
In 2015, FOBBA entered into a working alliance with Resorts of Ontario. This arrangement allows FOBBA to share office space and administrative staff and enables member B&B's to participate in various online digital marketing campaigns.
